THREE KINGS

​"Have you ever seen such a night as this?  So many stars, so many stories, which one is yours?"

Three weary travellers from far off lands meet by chance as night approaches, all looking to the darkening skies.  As shadows draw in, they eventually overcome their suspicions of each other and exchange stories; stories of loss, stories of kings.  Where have they come from and where are they going and what is so special about this night?  How many stars are there in the sky, is there such a thing as chance or do the constellations have a plan mapped out for each and every one of us?

Based on an original idea by me, Craig Edwards, Katie Sykes and devised by the company, Three Kings is a family show for ages 5+

​It fused storytelling, song and dance and puppetry and explored finding out where you belong, overcoming your differences and listening to the secret stargazer in each of us.

​I was Writer in the Room for Three Kings, somewhere between a Dramaturg and a Writer, I worked with the actors and other creatives to devise the show and then capture, refine and produce the final script. I also wrote lyrics for the show. The music was composed by Seamus Carey.
