Minny Stynker is a show about magic, creativity and doodling. Produced by Soapsoup Arts, the show is based on an original idea by Tomasin Cuthbert Menes and uses video projection and puppetry.
Initially I took part in an R&D for the piece as an actor deviser and puppeteer. After the R&D was complete the director Steph Kempson and creative lead Tomasin Cuthbert Menes asked me to work with them as dramaturg. I responded to Tomasin's artwork and the look and feel of the puppets to develop a story structure. Then, I worked with the performers and the creative team to explore and develop the structure and wrote a final script. Minny Stynker premiered at Tobacco Factory Theatres and has toured both nationally and internationally. It is touring in China in Autumn 2026. |
